Artistic Director
Ingrid Gay and Choral Connections have been making great music together since 2015. In her daily life, Ingrid teaches music at Heritage Woods Secondary in Port Moody and has been teaching within the Coquitlam School District since 1996.
Before her foray into the public education system, Ingrid taught private voice and piano while directing a church choir in North Vancouver. Ingrid has a Bachelor of Music with a major in voice from UBC along with a Bachelor of Education. She completed her master’s degree from the University of Oregon in 2014.
Ingrid has worked extensively through her career with various music performance groups, and more recently has added teaching guitar to her classroom duties, along with Concert Choir and Vocal Jazz at the school.
In her spare time, Ingrid performs with an eight member singing ensemble ‘Melodia’ and enjoys spending time with her family, including two furry children and four grandsons.
