Choral Connections Choir held our Spring concert Stories of Spring on May 26, 2024.  It was very well received by our audience and we got many comments praising us for the repertoire and our execution of that repertoire.

We were very pleased to, at last, perform Je Demeure, which was commissioned .by the choir from our amazing accompanist Vincent Lo.  We had planned to perform it in Spring of 2020, but we all know what happened then to delay us.

The lyrics are from a poem by Guillaume Apollinaire.  It is a beautiful piece and has become one of the choir’s favourites.  This was Vincent’s second original work for the choir, having done Gloria In Excelsis Deo previously.  I look forward to performing more original compositions from Vincent in the future.

The choir is in need of a few more Basses.  So if there are any men out there reading this, with a voice in the lower register, please come and join us.  We are a non-auditioned choir.  If you can come through the door, you’re in.
